Well since I’m horrible at saving money, and also deciding where I want to live the apartment search has been put on hold until around May or so. So I need something new to spend my money on, and if you have read my other blog entries you know how much I love ebay! So I’ve decided to get some cool stuff to decorate myself!

I found these kinda creepy earrings with a girls portrait in them. I always put in a filter to make sure nothing is over $50, I’m sure there is so much stuff I would love, but I don’t even want to see it, I may be tempted to buy it.

I am a HUGE fan of Betsey Johnson, so I search her name every time I go on ebay, you have to look through a lot of crap, people saying it’s BJ when it’s not, annoying, anyway I am a sucker for sparkles, and I think these would just look so cute for a night out. Aghh why can’t they be a sz. 7!

I really had some high hopes for that $19,850 I had sitting around. I’m just going to have to become BFF with the winning bidder “tytone”, and just maybe he will serenade me with the sweet sweet sounds of “Listen to the Flower People” and “Sex Farm”, but it will never sound the same unless coming from the musical genius…the man, the myth, the legend Nigel Tufnel.
So I am still on the apartment hunt. We have decided to hold off one more month to save some more money, but I am still hoarding decorations at my office behind my desk and hoping on getting some new ones…and here are some awesome finds from this week…
First off, I’m not a huge reader, but I do think old books look cool on a shelf…I like this one in particular because it’s about Saratoga (where I am from) and it’s called “Saratoga crunk”. This book is from 1941, and I thought “crunking” was new, shows how much I know…maybe I’ll give this one a read!
And if you are an avid reader of my posts (all one of them so far) you will know I’ve been on the hunt for a vanity (no, not just regular vanity, I’ve got enough of that, I assure you) Now I’m thinking nyc apartments aren’t very big, so in the interest of saving space here is one that hangs on your wall for the low low price of $18.99. So most of the apartments I’ve lived here when I nail something into the wall little bits of plaster dust falls out, so I guess it’s a game to see what will fall apart first; the wall or your $19 vanity.
Ok I know it’s not really an apartment decoration, but I suppose it depends on how you look at it…and Valentines Day is coming up; I think it’s a wise way to spend $15 during the month of February.
And how about this? A cute little cast iron door knocker for just $3.99! So tell yer roomies to knock on that when yer getting busy, it’s a lot classier than a sock on the doorknob.

Sitting here at the end of relatively busy week of working, apartment hunting, facebook browsing, and ebay surfing ,I find myself with about 20 things I wanted to buy to decorate an apartment I wasn’t able to get…C’est la vie, something better always comes along anyway. But since I only have a room right now, and it’s decorated to perfection I unfortunately have no need to grow my collection of knick knacks at the moment. Still, I feel there a few finds that are worth mentioning.
An amazing brass scale from the “olden” days…far better looking than the small finger scales used to weigh drugs
my grandmother has one of these on her kitchen wall, and I’ve always wanted one. I’ve considered stealing hers, but realize that may lead to an end of the $10 checks arriving in my mailbox every so often
honestly, who doesn’t want a tea trolley!
I’ve been on the hunt for a perfect vanity for what ever new bedroom I move into, but I’ve come to realize they are rather expensive, but no one ever said looking good was easy, or cheap
isn’t this chair perfect!? And it’s in nyc! And…from the looks of it, someone has, or should get banged on it
